Wipro has announced its third quarter numbers. It has posted consolidated net profit of Rs 854 crore for the quarter ended December 2007 as against Rs 814 crore in previous quarter.
Consolidated net sales increased to Rs 5,339.60 crore from Rs 4,784.70 crore (QoQ). Global IT revenue stood at USD 910.1 million.
Net profit went up at Rs 826 crore from Rs 812.2 crore and revenues at Rs 5,236 crore versus Rs 4,728.1 crore (US GAAP).
Price realistaion went up by 50 bps on quarter-on-quarter basis. Its BPO services revenue stood at Rs 305 crore and BPO Services' operating margin declined to 22% versus 23% (YoY).
Global IT margins was down by 100 bps on account of buyout of Infocrossing in the December quarter.
The company added 2,389 employees and 39 new clients.

According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, the company was expected to post net sales of Rs 5232.7 crore and net profit at Rs 851.4 crore.
